Tyro Life
RANDY SHOAF
I remember the place I came
from
A small town with a funny name
I learned a lot about life growing up there
More than a novice could ever claim
Playing in the shadows of the tall Poplar trees
Hoping for a snowy day in the middle of January
The family ties are strong
Back where I come from
I learned to love Jesus Christ there
In that place with a beginner’s name
Passing it down from one generation to the next
The name may say beginner but it taught a lot to me
Chorus:
Loving everyday of
the Tyro life
Every day He makes his mercies new
Learning everyday of the Tyro life
Our faith like a child has been renewed
I remember the place where I
came from
The small town with a funny name
I learned so much growing up there
I’m proud to be a novice today
I play in fields now that are far away from those tall trees
I often miss the life of that small community
Repeat Chorus: |
